Twelve Days of Classes kicked off this week, for the first time ever, and we could not be more excited to share the vast range of yoga and instruction BFPY has to offer! With twelve straight days dedicated to gaining deeper knowledge about our various classes and instructors, a question comes to mind: is it most beneficial to yogis—creating a multidimensional practice by fashioning your yoga regimen with different classes, or focusing your efforts on becoming a master of one style?
If you’ve joined Maggie in class before, then you know she presses ‘play’ on a beat that sends you soaring into another world! There’s a sense of getting lost in the flow as you move from note to note and pose to pose. Gratitude. It’s an emotion, a sensation, a gift that manifests in a way which makes our hearts grow three times their own size. We can spend time listing off the many things and people we know to be grateful for in life like friends, family, our homes, our jobs, our food, but actually embodying gratitude in mind, body, and spirit is an endeavor that requires so much more. In order to bring the magic of gratitude to life, we must first allow love to fill our hearts and shine vibrantly from our souls, as gratitude can only grow in the presence of all-encompassing, genuine love.

Despite the obvious language barrier, I knew where to go. I quickly learned the German phrase for “one more breath” and let that prompt guide my body into the next posture. I had zero concern for if I was with the class or doing what the instructor asked. I simply moved, breathed and listened to what I’m assuming was a marriage of muscle memory and intuition.
