Even as a dancer of 25 years, backbends are something that have always come with the baggage of resistance and discomfort for me. A large portion of the time, I will opt out intense backbend expressions because of the negative energy I have compiled around that specific part of my practice. This article by Kate Tremblay was so refreshing to my perspective on practicing backbends, and serves as a great reminder to the power of perspective.
