Equanimity Meditation



Jack Kornfield offers inspiring thoughts and explanations about equanimity, as well as a quick five minute meditation to guide you towards cultivating and sitting peacefully in equanimity. The concepts of impermanence and contentment come together to aid you in sitting in your discomfort, the way you would sit in joy, love, and bliss.

In focusing on equanimity this week, I’ve found that it is much easier for me to be with my resistance and discomfort in a physical manner on my mat, but finding that balance on emotional, psychological, social, and soulful levels is a much more challenging task. Jack’s guided meditation left me feeling motivated to continue weaving this concept of equanimity into my daily life and way of being!
