OUR CLASSES

There is a profound moment when breath meets movement. At Bare Feet, that’s how we define yoga. We are rooted in the practice of Power Yoga, amplifying the traditional asana postures to a powerful vinyasa flow. Our classes challenge both physicality and equanimity, achieving balance through restoration and mindfulness. Whether it is your first yoga experience or you’re ready to return to your mat, we invite you to move, breathe and experience yoga with our community.

The Bare Feet Experience
Our studio is located at 1006 W. Monroe in the heart of the West Loop. All of our classes are heated between 85-92 degrees unless otherwise noted. We have a small storage area for personal items in the front lobby and one single bathroom. We lock our doors when classes are in session so we ask that you arrive on time and will not be allowed to leave sessions early.


Cancellation Policy: We require 2 hour advance notice for cancellations for our In Studio classes. We require 30 minute advance notice for cancellations at our outdoor classes and no notice for our virtual classes. If a student signs up for class and fails to make the reservation or cancel prior to the class starting, the student will be deducted one class from their package or be charged $10 if using a monthly unlimited membership.

Prenatal and Injury Recovery: While we welcome everyone into our community with open arms, we encourage you to consult with your doctor to determine if heated yoga is appropriate for you before attending your first class.


Power Vinyasa

Our Power Vinyasa Classes strive to create greater balance in your overall being. Together we will move, breathe and sweat through a vigorous flow of intelligent sequences designed to create more strength and flexibility in the body, often including arm balances or peak postures. This invigorating and creative asana practice will get you out of your head and into your body. 


Power Express

Athletic | Uptempo

Short on time? We got you covered. Power Express is our quick and dirty version of our Power Vinyasa class. 


Spirit Flow

Uplifting | Spiritual

Open your heart and mind to a higher vibration in our Spirit Flow class. Together, we explore our sacred connection to life on Earth with intentional practices and authentic expression. This class is inspired by the Bhakti Yoga Tradition of love and devotion. You can expect an element of meditation, breathwork or chanting to accompany this flow style yoga class; as well as inspirational cards, sacred herbs or essential oils. You’ll leave feeling uplifted with a greater sense of unity, connection and oneness.


Mindful Vinyasa

Slower pace | Beginner Friendly

Move with ease and intention in our Mindful Vinyasa class. During this class we practice the art of slowing down. We keep it simple and give you extra time to sink into postures, often incorporating elements of pranayama, meditation or other ancient practices to help facilitate that deeper connection within. This class is great for people who are looking for a less vigorous flow, or are newer to yoga. 


Candlelight Beats

Uplifting | Spiritual

Melt into your mat and enjoy this deeply personal vinyasa experience. Fostering the connection between the soul and senses, our Candlelight Beats lures your mind and body precisely to the present. Allow breath and the beats to propel your movement as you flow and your inner light to guide your journey through the darkness, releasing the pressure for perfection into the abyss. All you need to do is feel the flow and embrace the glow.


Strong Power

Athletic | Uptempo

Build your strength and learn to take your practice to the next level in our Strong Power class. This vinyasa style class is designed for the yogis looking to deepen their physical practice and see what’s possible. We will include a variety of standing postures, backbends, hip openers, arm balances and inversions. By the time you're done with all the movement, you'll be ready for that sweet, sweet savasana. 


Strength & Alignment

Athletic | Structured

Build strength, heat, and equanimity in this class focused on physical activation and alignment. This class is ideal for anyone looking to deepen their relationship with the poses they know and love (plus maybe try a couple new ones!) We will move through a series of postures to challenge the body and take time to break down alignment as needed.  You will leave you feeling confident in both your physical practice and yourself.


Yin Yoga

Gentle | Healing

Surrender into the peaceful serenity with this gentle and relaxing practice. Expect long, deep holds in traditional postures that target connective tissues, increasing flexibility and joint mobility. Yin is a perfect complement to a regular Power Yoga practice; it’s unique nature serving to release anything the body has locked up leaving you in a restored, rejuvenated state.


Candlelight Restore & Oils

Restorative | Slower Pace

Surrender into the peaceful serenity of comfortable poses thoughtfully paired with DeTerra essential oils in a candlelight room. Using stillness as a gateway, this practice will cultivate a transformational level of calm and peace in your mind and body. Melt into your mat for ultimate restoration that will leave you with a heightened self-awareness, peace and balance on Sunday nights. 


Astro Flow

Spiritual | Uplifting

Let the stars be your guide... We are made of them after all. Tune into the astrological energy as you flow through this intentionally and mindfully crafted vinyasa yoga class. We will share insights about what's happening in the cosmos and how it relates to our body, mind, and spirit at that particular moment. Come open to what the universe has in store, each class will be unique, some more vigorous, others more chill.


Meditation

Spiritual | Mindful

Learn to still the mind and expand your awareness in our Meditation classes. These guided sessions are designed to elevate your vibration and promote feelings of inner peace. While the style of meditation will vary depending on the teacher and the day, you can expect to take a journey inward and leave feeling more centered and calm.


Virtual Vinyasa

Enjoy your yoga practice from the comforts of your own home. Choose from on demand and livestreamed yoga, mobility & strength classes designed with principles of intelligent movement led by Maggie Umberger & Ali Brashler.
